History

Hitec Lift Trucks Limited was established in 1986 and offers a fully comprehensive range of services and products to suit your materials handling requirements. Hitec has a rich wealth of experience and expertise in the materials handling sector with many staff members having decades of experience within the industry. From early beginnings, co-founders Andrew Selbie and Prospero Girardi have significantly grown the company’s workforce, moved premises three times and expanded rapidly as the business continues to grow. 

Hitec now have a Hire fleet of over 400 trucks, a customer base of almost 4,000 and have established a reputation for quality amongst clients and suppliers alike. 

Implementing the most advanced technology has enabled our qualified engineers to receive automated jobs electronically via their tablets and access our bespoke software to check the history of a job. These advancements ensure Hitec are moving towards a paperless business model which ultimately helps to increases efficiency, save money and cut down on our carbon footprint. In a further bid to help protect the environment, Hitec have also been awarded the ASEC accreditation (After Sales Service Evaluation & Certification) for our commitment to increased efficiency, quality and Environmental Policies. We understand the importance of these credentials to our customers who expect a high standard of service and we strive to comply with that. 

As well as recent investment in our premises including new sales offices and workshops, we continue to invest annually on casual hire fleet vehicles to ensure our customers have access to the latest models in the industry.

Hitec are committed to providing training for all engineers and our in house trainer creates programmes that are tailored to the individual engineer’s requirements, so you can be assured that you are in safe and qualified hands. Field Service Engineer

Hitec Lift Trucks are looking for two Forklift Truck Field Service Engineers to strengthen our expanding materials handling service team. Working with the support of an experienced service department, the successful applicant must be able to swiftly and expertly diagnose and conduct repairs or service in a friendly, courteous manner to the highest standard. Must be a team player and be able to manage own workload, be well organised and present a professional image.

Previous Experience:

A background in the servicing and repair of all types of forklift truck would be an advantage, although consideration will be given to those applicants who possess a technical qualification and can demonstrate a sound understanding of mechanical engineering. Full driving licence is essential.

Renumeration:

Successful applicants will receive a remuneration package above that of the industry’s standard, a modern equipped service vehicle and on-going training.
